The life skill that we just finished studying over our last training session is Self Esteem “The Joy of Being Myself” and the students at Northwest Austin ATA had much to say about this important concept.
mi would like us to know that it is “important to be kind to yourself, because the kinder you are to yourself, the kinder you are to others. The kinder you are to others, the happier you are!”
Saatvik defines self esteem as “that deep down inside the skin feeling you have of your own self worth. He says self love is your superpower, and “don’t ever doubt your worth”
Easton suggests that you can “try finding something you like to do, listen to, or watch…so you can think of it whenever you are having a hard time.”
According to Mitchell, “self esteem helps with behaviour. It is good to be happy about yourself because it can make you less sad and help with focusing in school.”
Preston shares “I like math, because I am good at it. It makes me feel good about myself.”
Maxwell practices self esteem by “believing in myself when I think things are hard.”
Alankritha advises that “It’s knowing that you are giving your best, so you shouldn’t beat yourself up if you don’t do everything you want how you want it. It’s knowing that you are enough, and you don’t have to think you are lacking if someone has a quality you don’t.”
Keegan shares that “Helping with the laundry makes me proud to be me. it is fun and it helps my mom and dad.”
